A UNIQUE TERROIR

Campuget is located on the borders of three immense wine-growing regions:
– administratively, we are part of Occitanie (formerly Languedoc);
– Provence through our lifestyle and our deeply Provençal culture;
– and finally, we are part of the Rhône when it comes to wine.

The rolled pebbles of the Rhône, the southern sun, the Mistral wind, the Syrah, and the Grenache: these are some of the fundamental elements that make up Campuget’s identity.

Our climate is greatly influenced by this river, which flows from Lyon to the Mediterranean.

It creates the perfect conditions for the Mistral to flourish.

This cold, dry wind from the northeast is a major factor in the identity of our wines and our environment.

The Rhône has shaped our soil for millennia, this unique terroir of rolled pebbles.

It is in this unique soil that our vines find mineral richness and freshness.

Syrah, Viognier, Roussanne, and Marsanne are at the heart of our blends and our varietal wines.

And then Campuget has also been enriched with the distinctiveness of Rhône wines, with grape varieties from other worlds, other terroirs, other climates.

Introducing Sapéravi and Rkatsitelli from Georgia, Assyrtiko from Greece, Albariño from the northern Iberian Peninsula, or even reintroducing the typically Provençal Tibouren, is preparing the future of our vineyard for climate change.

It’s our crazy and exciting method for adapting to nature.

Diversifying our grape varieties also means better preparing future generations of Campuget.
